Wedding vows
if one allows
ensnares you for life
as husband and wife.

Good luck if you get that far
before you get hit by a car
of emotions you never thought you would feel
before that person puts them up for appeal.

They'll say one thing and then take it back
putting you on the defensive ready for attack.
They'll trap you with their sweet speech
and then move far from reach.

No one should ever fall in love
because it hurts when rejection falls from above
like a grand piano in an old cartoon
allowing this wretched life to end very soon.
