You'll find this same speach in my poem/song "Eighteen".I thought it would work as both something explaining the poem and give you guys something to think about, Like what you've done in your lives to get you where you are. Please take the time to read it and think it through.
I had alot of visions of what I'd be doing right now. I've been 18 for a few months and find myself childish at that age. True, I can curse now, but I don't feel the need to. I'm allowed to date but who's there to take me out since I can't drive? And I have an 11 oclock curfew. I work all the time so there's not really any time to hang with friends. Being 18 doesn't mean that your an adult. Being an adult issomething you have to grow into becoming. True I am mature for my age but I still look like a twelve year old. Who's going to respect that? Plus I still live with my family and don't start college until maybe Spring, if my mom ever takes me to the school to arrange my classes. Well sorry for the drawn out lecture about coming of age.

I believe in God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, and if you don't like that, F**k off, I don't go around trying to convert people, so leave me in peace.
